After School Enrichment Program

Now Accepting ASEPs for Winter and Spring

The After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) is a fun, creative, and unique program for middle school and high school students. Students receive hands-on experience while learning from people in the film industry. The ACA provides a positive space, helping influence filmmakers to create life-giving films. It’s a great place for students to strengthen a hobby or build skills as a future media maker.

With cutting edge technology at their disposal, students are involved in an interactive community from the moment they step into the program until the minute they leave. Our after school enrichment programs have offered many students a place to learn, be empowered with professional opportunities, meet new friends, and prepare for a potential future in the media industry.

Make a Movie (4-6 week program, meets 1.25 hours/week)

Make a Movie is a unique program full of fun and creativity. Students experience the entire filmmaking process. Using an iPad as a movie camera, students learn to film in small groups. In addition, students are introduced to the basics of storytelling, camera use, composition and framing, shots/camera angles, lighting, and editing in iMovie. By the end of the program, each group creates a short film. All films are eligible for entry into The Golden Lion Awards High School Film Festival.

The program is offered at local schools and clubs. Contact us at info@acafilm.org if you are interested in hosting the program at your organization or school.
